Softricity was acquired in an all cash transaction by Microsoft Corporation [NASDAQ: MSFT]. SyChip  designs, develops and markets Radio Frequency Integrated Circuits and Chip Scale Modules (CSM) for the wireless Internet appliance market. SyChip’s end solutions contain significant advantages in weight reduction, power consumption and size while achieving superior RF performance. SyChip’s modules are used for WLAN, CDMA, GPRS, and GPS wireless applications. SyChip was acquired for $140 million in an all cash transaction by Murata Manufacturing, Ltd.. L.I.T. Surgical  L.I.T. Surgical (formerly known as Alpha Med-Surge) is a medical device company that has developed a revolutionary, patent-protected, head-mounted surgical headlight that surpasses the current industry standard to meet the critical needs of surgeons throughout the world. The L.I.T. Dataside  (formerly known as Collocation Solutions) is a privately held, build-to-suit telecommunication and data center infrastructure service provider. Founded in 1999, Dataside provides unbundled services in a carrier neutral environment with branded spaces engineered and constructed to the same high standards as a large data center applications or switch sites.Dataside was acquired for approximately $100 million by ViaWest. Markpoint co-investors included Koch Industries, and Hunt Capital Group.

Aether Partners  is a venture capital fund that actively makes early stage investments in wireless infrastructure, optical switching, wireless networking, and other cutting edge communications and technology companies. Aether is primarily financed and managed by the founders of IPmobile, a wireless infrastructure company which was sold to Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSCO) for $425 million.
